.:Resource Guides:Year of Service Programs-Who Can Help?
Year of Service Programs

Who Can Help?

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined.
-Thoreau

If you need any assistance as you explore, evaluate, select and apply to Year of Service opportunities check with the staff at your Career Center and/or Community Service Center on campus or at your alma mater. From listening and helping you process your thoughts and concerns, to assisting you in creating and reviewing your resume and application materials, the staff at these centers can be very helpful. Visit your campus center or a campus in your local community to see what type of resources and assistance they are able to provide.

Additionally, contact the program staff and/or recruiters at the organizations you are considering. They can provide you with insights and information that will help you in your discernment process as well as in preparing your application materials. Also try to connect with former program participants to solicit their perspective on the program experience and their feedback on your candidacy and application materials.
