Socially Responsible Careers Curriculum

The Idealist On Campus Socially Responsible Careers Curriculum helps students explore nonprofit and socially responsible career options. Workshops can be arranged for anywhere from two to six hours and typically include interactive exercises presented in workshop format, and can be enhanced with a few panel discussions led by professionals in the local nonprofit community and alums from the host school.

The content and format are geared to people at the early stages of their career development, but would be appropriate for people a few years out of college who might be interested in nonprofit work.

The curriculum provides:

  • Practical advice on nonprofit job seeking
  • A realistic perspective on working in the nonprofit sector
  • A fun environment for the day and an empowering message to pursue careers in line with their values

Currently, not all workshops are available online. However, feel free to download the following workshops and conduct them on your campus. Or, contact Felecia Bartow at Felecia@idealist.org to arrange for an Idealist On Campus staff member to lead a workshop on your campus.
